Date: October 18 , 2024 11:17:30 View ()

To create an opportunity for students to relax and promote Chinese traditional culture, a series of activities with the theme of the Double-Ninth Festival were held at the Hall of Ties on the 4th floor in the Aspiration Building. These activities aimed to evoke students' awareness of the traditional culture of the Double-Ninth Festival and foster a sense of social responsibility through discussions on the significant social topics of respecting and caring for the elderly.

During the activity, participants cut and tasted Double-Ninth cakes together, and enjoyed the special flavors of chrysanthemum tea to experience the special atmosphere which exists only in autumn. Additionally, the organizer of the events introduced anecdotal information about cornel with perspectives of botany and promoted the origin, customs, and meanings of the Double-Ninth Festival. Students actively participated in the activities, joyful and satisfied with the interesting knowledge.

The successful organization of this event not only provided students with joy in their busy academic lives but also deepened their understanding of the cultural theme of the Double-Ninth Festival—respecting, caring for, and adoring the elderly. The event also specially invited foreign teachers to participate, promoting the dissemination of Chinese traditional culture through interactive exchanges and fostering the integration of Chinese and foreign cultures. This event was not just a cultural feast but also a spiritual cleansing, allowing every participant to feel the profound cultural heritage and contemporary value of the Double-Ninth Festival.
